L'album è stato rimasterizzato agli Abbey Road Studios.
Pubblicato originariamente nel marzo 2005, Employment raggiunse il secondo posto nella classifica degli album del Regno Unito ed è rimasto nella Top 40 per oltre 17 mesi, vendendo oltre 2 milioni di copie e ottenendo 7 Dischi di Platino. Apprezzato anche nel resto d’Europa, l'album contiene numerosi singoli di successo: Oh My God, I Predict A Riot, Everyday I Love You Less And Less e Modern Way.
Formatisi a Leeds nel 2000, i Kaiser Chiefs sono una delle band più entusiasmanti della loro generazione. Guidati dal carismatico Ricky Wilson, con Simon Rix al basso, Andrew "Whitey" White alla chitarra, Nick "Peanut" Baines alle tastiere e il batterista Nick Hodgson (poi sostituito da Vijay Mistry), hanno pubblicato 8 album in studio originali, 9 singoli nella Top 40, tra cui Ruby, hanno vinto 3 Brit Award, un Ivor Novello Award e sono stati in tournée con U2, Foo Fighters e Green Day.
