Healing the Wounded Church, Book One

The church is hurting. We don't like talking about it. Stiff upper lip and all that. But honesty requires we see what is happening around us and take action. There seems to be very little delineation when moving from outside to inside the church anymore. Why is that? Could it be we have brought the wounds we all suffer inside with us? It is time to heal the church and all its people. This is the first in a three-set series of books designed to evaluate and help initiate a healing of the church in vital areas where we have been wounded. In this volume we tackle the first twelve areas of importance. My hope is that those reading this will evaluate their own lives and ministries with an eye toward healing themselves and those around them, thus making the church more powerful and relevant to the community. Whether you are a church member or part of the church staff, your importance to the church's ministries is inestimable. Look what God did with a David or an Aaron. We all have problems and issues and obstacles in our way. How we deal with them has become the issue. Hiding away behind our hallowed walls is not getting the job done. It's time the church heals up, stands up and starts walking the talk. This is how it's done. This is how all those that have come before us did it. God has not changed. Only we have changed. It's time to get back to being the church that Jesus is coming back for, without spot or blemish.
