Questa ristampa deluxe di Medicine Show arriva in un ampio cofanetto da 4 CD, che raccoglie 42 brani dei Dream Syndicate, tra cui rare registrazioni dal vivo, sessioni radiofoniche, prove, demo e materiale inedito risalente al periodo 1983-1984. Accanto a questo, l'album originale torna come LP indipendente, il tutto tramite Down There Records (distribuito da Fire Records). Nel 1982, i Dream Syndicate fondarono la propria casa discografica, la Down There Records, per pubblicare il loro EP omonimo da 12 pollici di quattro brani, che includeva le prime versioni di "When You Smile" e "That's What You Always Say". Firmarono poi un contratto con Slash per "The Days of Wine and Roses", seguito da A&M per l'album Medicine Show. Dopo anni, la band si è guadagnata il diritto di ripubblicare Medicine Show in un cofanetto da 4 CD con 42 brani, di cui 29 inediti risalenti al periodo 1983-1984.
