Shida Bazyar è un'autrice tedesca. Nata a Hermeskeil nel 1988 da una famiglia di esuli e attivisti politici iraniani, ha studiato scrittura creativa a Hildesheim e, oltre a scrivere, si è occupata per anni di formazione giovanile. Fandango ha pubblicato in Italia Fuoco nel 2022. Con il romanzo Di notte tutto è silenzio a Teheran, pubblicato sempre da Fandango nel 2023, ha vinto il Blogger Prize for Literature, l’Ulla Hahn Author’s Prize e l’Uwe Johnson Sponsorship Prize. Il romanzo è entrato anche nella cinquina finalista del Premio Strega Europeo 2024.
