Thomas Piketty

Thomas Piketty è professore, economista e scrittore francese. A 18 anni viene ammesso alla Scuola Normale Superiore, in cui studia matematica ed economia. Quattro anni dopo consegue il dottorato di ricerca alla London School of Economics, con una tesi sulla redistribuzione della ricchezza. Successivamente insegna per un paio d'anni al MIT, al Dipartimento di Economia. Nel 2002 vince il prestigioso Premio per il miglior giovane economista frances, e quattro anni dopo è il primo preside della École d'économie de Paris. Opinionista per «Libération» e «Le Monde», Piketty ha ricevuto, nel gennaio 2015, la Legion d'Onore dal governo francese, che ha però rifiutato. Tra i suoi libri più importanti ricordiamo Per una rivoluzione...
