Lucinda Riley è nata in Irlanda e ha esordito come scrittrice a 24 anni. Ha vissuto tra il Norfolk e il Sud della Francia, con il marito e i quattro figli, considerata la regina del romanzo rosa, è morta prematuramente a 55 anni, l'11 giugno 2021. Deve la sua fama internazionale soprattutto alla serie Le sette sorelle.Il giardino degli incontri segreti (Giunti 2012) è diventato un bestseller in tutto il mondo e in Italia è balzato subito ai primi posti delle classifiche.
