"I’m by no means an Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert. I recently gave an AI workshop at the Audio Video Expo in Denver, Colorado. Since the audience was people involved in digital technology, I decided to present how AI affects individuals and the creative industries, particularly small production companies, contract animators, digital designers, and the like. "The conversation was dynamic, and the discussion evolved into how AI affects people on a personal level on a day-to-day basis with regard to healthcare, banking, and finance. "When I was preparing for my AI workshop, the amount of information about the topic was overwhelming. I decided to go to the source and had a conversation with ChatGPT, my Generative AI of choice. "The handbook is a largely non-technical view of AI that discusses the types of Narrow AI including Alexa and Siri to more complicated Generative AI such as ChatGPT capable of learning information and having conversations with humans based on prompted questions. "The tendency is to focus on the negative aspects of AI such as fraud. Human error is the general entry point for bad actors infiltrating a person's or organization's computer network. Those include opening an alarming email that releases digital entities, including AI, that enter and compromise operating systems. Positive applications of AI fly under the radar as they improve healthcare diagnostics and our education system." - Alan O'Hashi
