I originally met the singing country legend when we worked together fifty years ago, in the music department of the South African Broadcasting Corporation. I became a close friend and compadre of Lance James at the beginning of his famous international singing career. 'My Memories of a Singing Country Legend,' is an insight into the heart and soul of Lance James and addresses both our travels on life's freeway. Around 2014, I had the honor of being chosen to write Lance's best seller biography 'Keep It Country.'
