1916, Angers

Compositore francese. Vincitore di un Prix de Rome nel 1938, docente all'École normale de musique e dal 1970 al conservatorio di Parigi, ha composto, in un linguaggio alieno da radicalismi e caratterizzato da tecniche poliritmiche e politonali ispirate a Messiaen, il balletto Le loup (1953), 2 sinfonie (1950, 1959), Métaboles (1964), Tout un monde lointain... (1968-70) per violoncello e orchestra, musiche di scena.
