Zoe's premiere night for her princess movie is finally here! Lauren, Annie, and Zoe are super excited – until they stumble over a dead body … Besides running the Norwegian Forest Cat Café with her cousin Lauren, Zoe Crenshaw has written a princess movie script which got turned into a real film! Now, the small Californian town of Gold Leaf Valley is hosting a premiere night for all the locals. The town is buzzing over the big night, especially Zoe. She's thrilled to be interviewed by three journalists, including a TV reporter. But what happens when Lauren and Zoe stumble over a dead body? Mitch, Lauren's police detective husband, is on the case, but Zoe and their senior friend Martha insist on sleuthing, too. Lauren reluctantly agrees to help, and along with her Norwegian Forest Cat, Annie, hunts for clues. Meanwhile, Lauren needs to come up with another new cupcake idea, and Martha surprises everyone when she introduces her new companion! But when they finally confront the killer, can they make it to safety in time? Or will they have enjoyed their last butterscotch drizzle cupcake?
