Yuri Herrera ha studiato Scienze Politiche in Messico e Letteratura negli Stati Uniti. Con il suo primo romanzo La ballata del re di denari (La Nuova Frontiera 2011) ha vinto, nel 2003, il Premio Binacional de Novela "Border of words", e nel 2009 in Spagna il premio "Otras voces, otros ambitos", confermandosi come uno degli scrittori messicani più promettenti. Di prossima pubblicazione in Italia il suo secondo romanzo Segnali che precederanno la fine del mondo.
