Voices of Sharpeville: The Long History of Racial Injustice

Providing a broad – based and long view of the contested history of Sharpeville, with a base in interviews with survivors and extensive archival research this volume restores the voice of previously anonymous individuals who were present at this event, creating a vivid and complex picture for the reader. In this era of growing importance of worldwide struggles against racism, this is a very timely intervention and one for which there is increasing demand. There is very little that focused on Sharpeville itself and nothing that includes the voices of many of those involved.
