The Big Man

Guy Fawkes day and on a remote abandoned farm fifteen people are dead, amongst them four Americans and two police detectives. Two more are in hospital. Drugs, money and jewellery have been left at the scene, but strangely no phones. More deaths quickly follow and an American mob boss dies of a heart attack at his home in Cleveland, Ohio, on learning about the death of his only child at the farm. Eventually, the Cardiff-based Serious Crime Squad are called in, after being initially ignored. Slowly they try to untangle the web of events, but with little success. Do the hospitalised men, an American in the employ of the deceased mobster, or the Scot known locally as Big Mac, hold the key to what went down? DI's Mike Karetzi and Evan Jones keep prodding and get a surprise or two as things begin to unravel.
