Coffee After Closing
Mim has fourteen weeks before her new job begins, and running her mother's tiny Bangkok café was not part of the plan. Khao is a freelance baker with preorder clients of her own and no interest in becoming everyone's extra pair of hands. Then their mothers leave town, putting them in charge of Common Cup for ninety days. Mim wants clear schedules and a menu the staff can manage. Khao wants room to make food worth coming back for. Between mixed-up deliveries, demanding regulars, and pastries that sell out too fast, their long-standing irritation turns into something neither can leave behind when they lock up. As the café grows busier, so does the work everyone is expected to absorb. When Mim makes a menu decision that belongs to Khao, a practical disagreement becomes a breach of trust. With their temporary arrangement nearing its end, they must find a way to respect each other's choices—at work and after closing. Coffee After Closing is an explicit contemporary Thai romance about two women, one neighborhood café, and the cost of always saying yes.
