In my opinion the most interesting feature of the the first story is the anachronistic vision of female emancipation and technological development. The author creates a world of the future that stands for ingenuity and outdated concepts, full of amusing contradictions. An example of scientific ingenuity (or so it seems to me), is the ability to calculate the height above sea level, regardless of the existence of the sea, but considering the level it would have if it was there. The second story is totally different and less interesting. Nota riguardante questa edizione italiana: La versione italiana della NORD rappresenta il peggior volume che abbia mai letto. Specialmente il primo romanzo è pieno di refusi e frasi sconclusionate.
