East Bound and Down

Bo Darby wants nothing more than to go fast-it's what she's good at. When the shady owner of the local racetrack manages to clip her wings, she's suddenly grounded and her sterling reputation tarnished. Worse, she's bored. With their flexible interpretation of the law and allegiance to the trickster god, the last thing anyone wants is a bored Darby. Luckily, opportunity comes knocking in the form of a bet: Deliver one hundred cases of Jubilation to the Bluffsdale Arena in forty-eight hours. It's a fool's wager. The timeline is tight and Bluffsdale Arena is in Lanta territory, where Jubilation is illegal. If they get caught? Jailtime, fines, and a reputation fully ruined. No other driver could make this run. But Bo's not alone. She's got Hank, best friend, shapeshifter, and the fastest cargo driver around. She's got Cletus, sentient bear and top-notch navigator. She's also got the fastest cutter anyone has ever seen. Unfortunately, Bo also has a runaway groom riding shotgun and a sheriff with a vendetta on her heels. They have everything to lose, but if they win? Pockets of riches and a reputation wreathed in glory. It's a dangerous but tempting deal, and Bo Darby never was good at resisting temptation.
