Father Eclipse, The

You didn’t choose the lens you see life through. But it’s shaping everything. Most men don’t realize they’re living under an eclipse. Not a physical one, but something just as real. A quiet shadow cast by their relationship with their earthly father—shaping how they see themselves, how they handle pressure, how they connect with others… and how they experience God. You may not be able to name it. But you feel it. You strive… but never quite feel at rest You show up… but feel disconnected You achieve… but still question your worth And deep down, there’s a question you can’t shake: “Why do I feel this way?” The Father Eclipse answers that question. In this deeply personal and honest book, Steve Cummings takes you beneath the surface—into the places where identity is formed, wounded, and often misunderstood. Through raw storytelling, hard-earned insight, and decades of walking alongside men, Steve reveals how your relationship with your earthly father has shaped: Your sense of worth Your emotional responses Your relationships Your patterns of behavior And your view of God as Father This isn’t about blaming your past. It’s about understanding it—so you can be free from it. Because what you don’t see - you can’t change. This book is for the man who: Feels like he’s always performing, but never arriving Struggles to connect emotionally—with his wife, kids, or others Finds himself reacting in ways he doesn’t fully understand Wants to grow spiritually, but feels stuck or disconnected Knows something is off—but doesn’t know what it is And it’s for the man who is ready to: Slow down and become aware Understand what’s really driving his life Break free from performance-driven living Experience God not just as Creator—but as Father Live from identity not for it This isn’t just a book. It’s an invitation. To see what’s been hidden. To understand what’s been shaping you. And to step into who you’ve always been: A beloved son.
