Five Guests and a Corpse

Five Guests and a Corpse By Frank Drama Five guests receive an invitation to a dinner that should never have taken place. The location is Vesper House, a decaying mansion filled with hidden passages, buried records, and the lingering secrets of a death that was ruled an accident nine years earlier. Dr. Sera Whitlock knows the house—and she knows the people summoned to it. Each guest has a connection to Adrian Sayer, the man who died in the mysterious fire. Each has something to hide. But the invitation carries a chilling warning: before midnight, someone will be dead. When the evening turns deadly and the body of the man who delivered the invitations is discovered, the guests realize they are trapped in a mystery far more dangerous than an old unsolved death. Hidden documents point toward a suppressed investigation, a missing witness, and a devastating truth about a fire that powerful people worked to conceal. As Detective Inspector Harker investigates, the evidence seems to implicate one guest after another. Keys appear where they should not be. Photographs reveal people erased from the official story. And a voice speaking through the house's hidden intercom seems to know every secret the guests have spent years protecting. But the most important question is not simply who committed the murders. It is who has controlled the truth for all these years—and why the past has suddenly become so dangerous. With the house's concealed passages offering a way in and out unseen, no alibi can be accepted without question. Every revelation changes the meaning of the evidence, and every confession uncovers another layer of deception. In Five Guests and a Corpse, the past refuses to remain buried. As the final pieces fall into place, the guests must face the consequences of their silence, and the investigation leads to a confrontation where the truth can no longer be hidden. Five guests came to uncover a secret. One killer came to make certain it stayed buried.
