Dasan has spent his whole life in the darkness, wandering aimlessly beneath the eternal night and endless winter. The journey has been anything but safe, for within the darkness live the terrifying creatures of the night; the flesh-eating wendigos that ended the world of man. Amid this chaos, Dasan and his companions search for salvation—a rumored oasis hidden in the Argent Peaks, untouched by darkness. Their best chance of getting there is to find the Infinity Loop, the colossal train that once united the people of the old world. Yet the creatures of the night are not the only danger of the planet Serus. Increasingly, Dasan and his companions must grapple with the reality that their greatest foe is not the wendigos, but other survivors. As the horrors of the journey unfold, Dasan grapples with the stark truth of what humanity has become as he and his friends are drawn into a battle not just for survival, but for the soul of their world. But when secrets from the past threaten to fracture their bond, they must decide how far they're willing to go—and what they're willing to lose—for the chance at a new beginning.
