Into The Tempest

After years in Dublin preparing for her debut into London Society, eighteen-year-old Lily Gordon is finally ready to step into the glittering world her grandparents have shaped for her. But first she must return to Glenmarin for her brother's wedding, stepping back into the quiet life her older sister, Clara, has always cherished. Escorted by James Sheehan, her father's new curate, Lily's arrival sets off a chain of events neither sister could have foreseen. Clara faces a blow that threatens the life she has always cherished, as the owner of her own dressmaker's shop, while Lily's future begins to shift under the weight of secrets she carries and hopes she has pinned on a young American, Jack Edwards. Whispers, loyalties, and betrayals weave through the fabric of their days—some close to home, others reaching all the way to London. Rumours and scandal, followed by a violent and tragic tenant uprising, alter the course of their lives and force the sisters onto a path they never expected. Together, Clara and Lily must navigate loss, betrayal, and an uncertain future, discovering that the greatest storms are not always the ones that break upon the land, but the ones that rise quietly within the very walls of family, gathering strength until they can no longer be ignored.
