Il 10 settembre 2021, per celebrare il suo 30° anniversario, “Metallica” a.k.a. “The Black Album”, vincitore di Grammy e certificato sedici volte platino, sarà ripubblicato per Polydor/Universal in una nuova versione definitiva.
Si tratta della rimasterizzazione di un album che ha cambiato per sempre la storia del metal e della musica in generale.
“Metallica” è uno dei dischi di maggior successo commerciale e tra i più acclamati dalla critica di tutti i tempi. Uscito nel 1991, è stato il primo album dei Metallica a raggiungere la vetta della classifica in più di 10 paesi, grazie alla presenza di singoli come "Enter Sandman", "The Unforgiven", "Nothing Else Matters", "Wherever I May Roam", e "Sad But True". Risulta, inoltre, incontrastato, l'album più venduto nella storia della Nielsen Soundscan, superando pubblicazione di ogni genere negli ultimi 30 anni.
