Mistletoe Madness

A bittersweet, contemporary romance about legacy, second chances, and finding out who you are when your old life falls apart. At thirty-three, Augustina Orosco has a chest full of medals, sixteen years of service as a newly discharged Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, and absolutely no plans for the future. For the first time in her life, she is completely adrift. Everyone calls her Aggy, but she doesn't even know who Aggy is outside of a uniform. A chance stop at a Texaco in the changes everything. Spotting a flyer seeking ranch hands through the swirling snow, she says what the hell, decides to trade her combat boots for cowboy boots on a whim, and takes the job. She ends up at Oakwood Horse Ranch, a massive fifty-million-dollar property covered in a blanket of winter snow, and it's everything she never knew she was looking for. However, that same Ranch is throwing Joshua McCleary for a loop. Wealthy, high-powered New York venture capitalist, Josh McCleary has spent years running from his past and putting off his father. When his dad suddenly dies of a heart attack, Josh is left with the ranch he was forced to work on as a kid, and a stubborn clause in the will. To sell the property and return to his corporate empire, he has to live on it for one full month. Josh arrives determined to count down the thirty days, sign the deed, and never look back. Instead, he is instantly bombarded by childhood memories, the immense love he had for his father, and the undeniable presence of the smart, fiercely independent new ranch hand, the rest of the snowbound ranch crew quickly nicknames Gus. As the Texas wilderness begins transforming the city boy into the man his father always knew he could be, two people trying to outrun their pasts must decide if they are ready to build a new legacy together.
