Not Another Vampire Romance

From new adult author B. Celeste comes a snarky paranormal romance that will challenge everything you think you know about vampires. No one believes my name is Nemesis. Well, it’s not my real name. Just the one given to me when I was reborn as a half-vampire. My pesky missing human memories don’t offer any clues as to what I used to be called. But the Council? They call me a weapon. The humans, fae, vampires, and werewolves that co-rule Vesparinth have me bound by blood oath to work as their on-call assassin. And they’ve just tasked me with the impossible: Kill the ancient vampire Eryx before his return starts a long-prophesized war. Personally, I think the Council’s being dramatic. That whole prophecy thing is a hoax. And everyone knows Eryx is a myth. That is, until the day he…shows up at my door. Turns out Eryx has a plan for me to stop the prophecy in its tracks. And he seems to know a lot about my mysterious Halfling powers—far more than he should. The Council was clear: If I don’t kill Eryx, it’s curtains for me, with no chance of resurrecting this time. But how can I kill the one person who could be the key to unlocking my past? And from the way he’s looking at me, I’m starting to think Eryx wants me for more than just preventing the prophecy. Even worse, I might just want him back.
