Beatrix Potter è stata un'illustratrice e scrittrice britannica. Scrivendo e disegnando con amore e fervente immaginazione, è considerata una delle autrici per bambini più amate in tutto il mondo. Nasce a Londra; ha un'infanzia solitaria e presto si appassiona allo studio della natura e manifesta un singolare talento artistico disegnando e dipingendo fiori, frutti e animali. Nel 1901 diventa autrice di libri per bambini e illustratirice.
