He launches a religion, charging turnips for "angelic" advice that's actually just Google searches. His wife Hilda runs the real operations—balancing ledgers, organizing the Ministry of Divine Agriculture, and quietly doing all the actual work. The LARPers become prophets, using the phone to solve agricultural problems, negotiate with the Baron, and even build a catapult (launching the tax collector into the moat). When the phone finally dies, Gunter's constructed faith has already transformed his village. The Baron, having witnessed the phone's "miracles," agrees to fairer terms. The LARPers return to their own time, forever changed—Morwenna restructures her company, Dave finds peace in his IT job, Fenella's shop thrives, and Baldric reconciles with his wife. Gunter, now a respected agricultural advisor, keeps the dead phone on his mantel—not as a relic, but as a reminder that sometimes the best "miracles" are just practical knowledge, shared freely, that helps a community thrive.
