A rare collection of original & traditional Tamil poetry, mostly religious and some social, written in accordance with the rules of Tamil prosody. WhatsApp got together six very different people with a common passion for expressing their thoughts in Tamil poetry, using knowledge gained only during their school days, decades ago. A portion of their attempts form this book. Many of the poems highlight the greatness of God Almighty but there are also verses covering social topics. All verses are rich in their expression and content. A good number of verses belong to Venpa - a traditional poetical genre framed using strict grammatical rules. The others have been rendered with prosodic features. The book is sure to inspire readers, including the younger generation, and show them the beauty, richness, depth and intricacies of Tamil. Contents not only include the Authors' individual topics but also interesting debates in poetical form titled as "Kavithai Pokkuvaraththu' (poetical exchanges). These exchanges throw a new perspective on historical incidents and day-to-day life. They are thought provoking and have an enthralling effect on the reader.
