Haunted by the devastating murder of his sister, Jake lives alone in his deceased parent's house in Fenton, Ohio. Once a dedicated homicide detective, he resigned after failing to prevent his sister's death. Now, he finds solace working a less stressful security job at Andronetx, a human android manufacturing facility. Chaos erupts at Andronetx when the AI of thousands of their androids is infected with coding that reincarnates the souls of dead people into the AI. Souls that had a criminal history in their previous life begin their lawless activities anew, overwhelming law enforcement. This reincarnation of souls was just a prelude to a test of a weaponized android using malicious telepathy to instigate a massive riot, resulting in many fatalities and severe injuries. Jake finds himself in a stressful battle, trying to maintain security and understand the mysterious events with the androids.
