I broke a man's face on the ice. To save my career, I need to call my PR manager. JAXON They call me a savage on skates. The league wants to strip my captaincy, ban me from the playoffs, and ruin my franchise. My coach says I need a leash. My team says I need a miracle. Riley Brooks says I need a rebrand. She's my PR manager. She is sunshine, spreadsheets, and completely off-limits. Her crazy plan? A fake relationship to show the press I have a heart. But I don't do fake. If we're going to do this, we're going to Vegas. She's taking my name, moving into my penthouse, and wearing my diamond. RILEY I fix messes for a living, but Jaxon Thorne is a walking disaster. He's massive, scarred, and the grumpiest man I've ever met. I drafted a bulletproof PR contract to save his career. Instead, he dragged me into a neon chapel and kissed me until I forgot my own name. It was supposed to be a simple business transaction. But there's only one bed in our honeymoon suite. And when a dangerous secret from Jaxon's dark past suddenly shows up at our door, I realize I didn't just marry a hockey player. I married a man with deadly secrets. Will the captain protect me, or will his past destroy us both? Author's Note: Roughing the Captain is a fast-paced, high-tension 5,000-word short hockey romance.
