In this second volume in his three-volume history of the life and career of Samuel Pepys, originally published in 1935, esteemed historian Arthur Bryant records Pepys's life from the end of his diary in 1669 to 1683, when Pepys was sent to Tangier to aid in the evacuation of the English colony there.
