A light-hearted comedy drama about a mother, daughter and grandmother living together under one roof – based on the stories by Guardian columnist Michele Hanson What does it feel like to be middle-aged? For Gillian it feels like being twenty-seven in your own head, sixty-five in the mirror, ninety to your children and your mother still thinking you're twelve… Gillian lives with her 19-year-old daughter and 89-year-old mother, and life is a constant balancing act. Who is the chief dissenter among the three women who live noisily together under one roof: opinionated daughter, Chloe, very opinionated elderly mother Berenice, or the poor beleaguered Gillian in-between? Stuck in the middle, Gillian feels she must carry on being sensible, while everyone else - the young and the old - run amok. Her mother grumps about in the garden and her daughter sobs upstairs. She finds on these occasions that she tends to play football with the dog.
