Unfortunately, This Is Working

Bad Decisions has survived the difficult part. It has become successful. Now the people who created it have to figure out what success is supposed to mean. The restaurant has recognition, loyal customers, a real staff, serious business opportunities, and more attention than anyone expected. But every new possibility brings another question. Should they grow? Take investment? Buy the building? Step away from daily operations? And if the restaurant can finally function without constant emergencies, what happens to the people who built their lives around saving it? For Daniel, Maya, Priya, Gabriel, Marcus, Leo, Sophie, Ethan—and Margaret, who remains professionally famous under another name—the biggest challenge may no longer be keeping Bad Decisions alive. It may be learning how to have lives of their own while allowing something they created to stand without them. Unfortunately, This Is Working is the third and final book in the We Should Never Have Opened This Place series: an ensemble comedy about success, ownership, friendship, work, ambition, knowing when enough is enough, and discovering that sometimes the worst decisions become surprisingly difficult to regret.
