This book is dedicated to all the clueless men who can't see when their bestie is head over heels in love with them. Damn, if I were as clueless as Landon was, I would live a much less stressful life. You know how they say: blessed ignorance. Yes, that's Landon. Finn was literally pining for that man for 8 years for that man and stayed silent while hurting. Couldn't be me, champ. I can't comprehend suffering in silence. If I had a crush on someone (I'm aromantic), I'd confess immediately. I'd for sure make it the other person's problem, and if they didn't reciprocate, I'd move on or stay friends. That's why I don't like friends-to-lovers that much when it's this kind of setup, because I just don't get it. Fun fact: I played water polo for 7 years, so it was a nice surprise discovering that the main characters in Book 1 and Book 2 played the same sport. Unfortunately, it wasn't integrated that much into the story. It's such a cool sport.
