‘The Alzheimer’s Predator’ is both a personal narrative and a warning — one that will shock you to the core that such a thing can happen in Britain today.  Pete Whittaker exploits elderly sisters Elizabeth Toner and Bella Branwell after their Alzheimer’s diagnoses, isolating them, draining finances, and attempting marriage to seize Bella’s estate. Family members David and his daughter Izzy fight through Social Services, police, and courts, eventually securing Power of Attorney and a deputyship, ousting Pete. Both women decline and die in care during COVID-19. The novel exposes predatory marriage loopholes and highlights the need for legal reform protecting dementia sufferers.
