The Between

The Between The space where memory fades and souls linger, love becomes the only compass. Antony Greatfield, also known as the actor Dade Holden, is trapped in a coma, drifting in a realm not meant for the living—a shadow compound nestled between heaven and hell, where the minds of the vacant reside. There, in the black desert beyond forgetting, he meets Tabatha Twitched: a woman suspended in a vegetative state, her spirit lucid and luminous in the in-between. She's the caretaker of the vacant, old souls trapped in the Between. Together they explore the boundaries of this forsaken place, where the sands whisper lost names and a towering wall marks the edge of damnation. Tabatha shows him what lies beyond—the torment of hell—and urges him to repent, to reclaim his life before it's too late. Antony awakens, changed and desperate to find the woman who saved him. Against all odds, he does. Their love blooms in the waking world, fragile and fierce. But when Antony's jealous ex-lover—and former manager—tears their new life apart, the question remains: was it truly the end, or just another passage through the veil? Was Antony thrust into the dark sands of the Between again, or would God grant him redemption and give him the life with Tabatha that he so craves? A tale of redemption, metaphysical love, and the thin line between salvation and oblivion, Between the Veil asks, what if the soul remembers what the body forgets?
