Claim the Broken

Heroes take the treasure. Rian Marr gets what they leave behind. As a Grade-F Dungeon Janitor, Rian isn't paid to slay monsters or claim legendary loot. He enters after the delvers are finished—cleaning blood from dungeon routes, hauling out shattered equipment, and sorting through the wreckage no one important wants. Then a supposedly cleared route goes wrong. Trapped underground with an injured crew and monsters closing in, Rian discovers that his overlooked class can do far more than identify trash. Broken barriers, ruined weapons, discarded armor—anything truly abandoned might become a resource. And the dungeon is full of broken things. One desperate reclamation becomes a level gain. One level becomes a fighting chance. Soon Rian is learning how to turn salvage into survival, damaged equipment into weapons, and the remains of stronger enemies into opportunities his class was never supposed to have. But some things should not be reclaimed. A strange residue refuses normal classification. Dangerous anomalies begin appearing where they shouldn't. The Guild wants ownership. The Registry wants containment. And every step Rian takes deeper into his evolving Reclaimer path brings him closer to something hidden beneath the ordinary business of dungeon cleanup. Rian has no legendary sword, elite bloodline, or prestigious combat class. He has a tool belt, a mountain of discarded gear, and a System that is finally beginning to recognize the value of what everyone else throws away. If the world insists on leaving broken things behind, Rian Marr is going to claim them.
