Community and Caring: Older Persons, Intergenerational Relations, and Change in an Urban Community

Community and Caring presents a vivid picture of the changing patterns of help-giving and help-receiving in an urban neighborhood, as seen through the eyes of older, lifelong, residents. Born and raised in closely defined ethnic neighborhoods, these residents are experiencing change both on the widest social and economic scale and seeing new, fundamental change in ethnic and social diversity in their own neighborhood.
