Mohsin Hamid

1971, Lahore (Pakistan)

Mohsin Hamid è cresciuto in Pakistan ma in seguito ha frequentato la Princeton University e la Harvard Law School, lavorando poi per diversi anni come consulente aziendale a New York. Il suo primo romanzo, Nero Pakistan, tradotto in Italia da Piemme, ha vinto il Betty Trask Award, è stato finalista nel PEN/Hemingway Award ed è stato un Notable Book of the Year per il «New York Times». Suoi articoli e saggi sono apparsi su «Time», «The New York Times» e «The Guardian». Grande successo internazionale anche per il suo romanzo Il fondamentalista riluttante (Einaudi Supercoralli, 2007 e Super ET, 2008), dal quale la regista Mira Nair ha realizzato un film - The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2012) - collaborando con lui per la sceneggiatura.
