The Discontinuum Protocol unfolds across two interwoven timelines separated by millennia, bound together by an ancient obligation and a secret that refuses to die. The first thread begins at the end of Atlantis. Jason, a philosopher and member of the governing directorate, boards the spaceship CASSANDRA with his wife Cassandra, a visionary whose prophetic gifts the Atlantean academy dismisses, carrying over three thousand souls toward the stars. But moments after departure, a catastrophic system failure triggers something inexplicable: the ship finds itself back above Earth, the planets moving in retrograde, all clocks reset. A time displacement has occurred. The ship's computer overrides the crew and forces an emergency landing on a remote Atlantic island. The CASSANDRA will never fly again. Four passengers are missing. And Cassandra tells the council of leaders there is only one course of action: activate the Discontinuum Protocol. The second thread moves through the twentieth century. In Paris in 1920, a young Polynesian anthropology student named Phimon falls into a trance at an esoteric gathering, channeling voices in an ancient dialect. The group's clairvoyant leader, Madame Marie, is shaken to her core. Years later, Phimon receives a mysterious leather-bound book with a single dedication: Find your sister, Marie. The problem? She has no sister. In Cairo in 1935, Myriam, a French bookseller and leader of a local initiatory circle called the Circle of the First Family, performs a ritual at the Giza pyramids with two positions left deliberately vacant. The founder of the circle appears in spirit form, delivering a message: four figures are sleeping on Earth and must be awakened, for the journey home needs them. In Paris in 1939, Cindy, a reserved Canadian theologian, meets Madame Marie in a pre-dawn encounter at Notre Dame. She too receives the same book with the same enigmatic dedication. Decades later, as these three women are slowly drawn together across Los Angeles, Toronto, London, Edinburgh, and Cairo, a fourth figure surfaces almost against his own will: Morel, a French-Algerian painter living in a Paris attic, inexplicably compelled to sketch seven different flowers arranged across seven atolls circling a central island, a formation that exactly mirrors the ceremonial positions of the Circle. Each flower appears to him in isolation: a dream, a passing scent, a feverish hallucination. He doesn't understand why. Meanwhile, Simone, the Circle's new young leader, is working frantically to decipher the connections between Phimon's strange notebook, a celestial configuration encoded in an ancient copper plaque, and the mythology of the "First Family." She doesn't yet know that everything is converging on a single ritual in Cairo, one that must be performed by specific people who carry within them something ancient and unfinished. The novel's central mystery: who are the four sleeping figures, what exactly is the Discontinuum Protocol, and what is the true relationship between an Atlantean spacecraft stranded in a forgotten era and a handful of ordinary people scattered across the twentieth century, each holding one piece of a puzzle none of them knows they are solving?
