THE DOLLS WERE NEVER EMPTY

At the Xavier Poole Doll Company, death is not the end. It's just the beginning of a profitable business. In the struggling industrial town of Horton, a mysterious factory manufactures beautiful porcelain dolls unlike anything the world has ever seen. Behind their delicate painted faces lies a horrifying secret: each doll contains the imprisoned soul of someone who once lived. When desperate parents sell the rights to their dead daughter's soul for forty cents, they set in motion a chain of events involving murder, betrayal, greed, and the terrible price of human life. As factory workers begin uncovering the truth about their employer, they discover that the company's darkest secrets reach all the way back to its founding. And some secrets refuse to stay buried. Decades later, in 1982, a family discovers an antique porcelain doll hidden in the attic of their new home. What begins as an innocent curiosity leads to an investigation into a long-forgotten factory, mysterious disappearances, and a terrifying discovery that has waited more than half a century to be uncovered. Spanning more than seventy years, The Doll Factory weaves four interconnected stories into one chilling tale of supernatural horror, human desperation, and the consequences of trying to cheat death. Because inside every beautiful doll, someone may still be screaming. And some factories never truly close. An original gothic horror novel by Keith Trimm.
