Even Here, There Is Light

I have seen it too. The depths of the darkness that you didn’t know could exist. The crushing weight of feeling trapped with no way out. The numbness that follows in an attempt to survive the pain that has woven its way throughout each of your days.  I know in this moment that it feels like the darkness is all there is, that darkness is all there will ever be.  But I promise you this: that is not the truth. These words are here to remind you of what you already know somewhere deep within—that there is still hope.  That you will be okay.  That even here, there is light.
