"The Grand High Beast must find a way to stop this. These aren't going to be trials, they're going to be executions." Meadow Woodley, now 17, is beginning her second year in Elementa, after passing the vigorous trials the previous year. But her work is not over yet, and with Zeno amassing an army in the trial worlds, the threat of war looms over her and the other inhabitants of Elementa. In order to put a stop to Zeno's schemes, Meadow and her friends must venture into hidden magical realms, both in the human world and Elementa. But will they make it through Zeno's deadly trials in time?
