Geriatric Imaging

In elderly patients, the coexistence of multiple diseases, along with involutional and degenerative changes, and the presence of both physical and cognitive impairments, are considered “the norm.” For this reason, it is essential to distinguish between healthy ageing and conditions that require medical intervention. This distinction is crucial to avoid overdiagnosis and overtreatment.
