As respite from the suspense of her books she produces the ***Ginormous Joe Series*** with her contemporary artist daughter Scarlett Raven, based on a rescue Pyrenees Mountain Dog called Joe, who was close to their hearts. Joe was found starved, manged, dying in the street. He had lost his voice and was unable to bark. His teeth were ground down from being chained and his bones and confidence had been knocked out of sync.
