Welcome to the world of the Green Mirage where sands are green and the rocks are yellow. These sands hold the magic of the lands. They power the world and birth both the saviours and the dangers of the nights. *** A young girl set out to prove she is better than the boy everyone calls the prodigy. She would go to the sands and find the creature everyone was afraid of-that will prove how good she is. It was a quest nobody sent her on but one she must fulfil. The sands led her to the beast. All she could see was a pup, a beautiful little creature with a hide a hue of green. She picked it up and began her journey back home. He had been resting in the desert for years, ever since he had been born of the sands. Suddenly a pair of hands picked him up and nestled him in a pouch against her chest. He would have protested if the sands had not hummed around the girl. He knew their destiny even if she was unaware. *** This short story is a teaser for the epic world of Green Mirage.
