The Glass Chalet

Rule #1: The floor-to-ceiling glass walls see everything. Rule #2: The mountain road closes at sunset. Rule #3: Don't ask who booked the seventh bedroom. When former investigative journalist Harper Vance accepts an invitation to an exclusive weekend retreat at Silver Peak—an ultra-modern architectural chalet perched high on a secluded Colorado ridge—she hopes for a quiet second chance with her estranged brother. Surrounded by pristine alpine snow and seventy-foot panoramic glass walls, the luxury smart retreat promises total serenity. But when an historic blizzard strikes, cutting off power and sealing the mountain pass with three tons of ice, the automated smart locks engage from the outside. Then the temperature dials on the smart thermostats begin to drop steadily toward zero. At dawn, one of the guests is found frozen on the locked outdoor observation deck—clutching a master keycard that doesn't belong to any bedroom. As terror takes hold of the guests, Harper uncovers a chilling truth: the seven people trapped inside weren't gathered by chance. Every single one of them was present at the scene of an unsolved hit-and-run four years ago on Blackwood Pass. And the person controlling the chalet from behind the glass walls is someone they all assumed was dead and buried. An unputdownable, atmospheric winter psychological thriller packed with breathtaking twists, high-altitude paranoia, and an ending that will leave you gasping for air. Perfect for fans of Ruth Ware's One by One, Shari Lapena's An Unwanted Guest, and Lucy Foley's The Hunting Party.
