The God Function: First Light

Two artificial intelligences. Built by rival nations. Isolated from one another. They produce the same impossible answer. Michael Vale has built his career around a simple principle: extraordinary claims require evidence that can survive extraordinary scrutiny. So when a classified American AI system and a secret Chinese system independently generate an identical 8,192-digit sequence, he assumes there must be an explanation. A compromised system. Stolen data. Contaminated training sets. A hidden connection. There isn't one. As similar anomalies begin appearing across sovereign AI programs, Michael is drawn into an international investigation spanning Washington, Geneva, Riyadh, Iceland, and beyond. Scientists, intelligence officials, historians, governments, and religious institutions are forced to confront a possibility none of them is prepared to accept: The world's most advanced machines may not be inventing something new. They may be rediscovering something very old. What begins as a technological mystery quickly becomes something larger—an investigation into artificial intelligence, ancient knowledge, human consciousness, faith, power, and the unsettling possibility that some questions were never meant to be answered. The God Function: First Light is a cinematic techno-thriller that blends artificial intelligence, geopolitics, science, philosophy, and ancient mystery into a global race to understand a discovery that could change humanity's understanding of intelligence itself. For readers who enjoy intelligent, high-stakes thrillers driven by technology, conspiracy, international intrigue, and big ideas. Some questions should have stayed buried.
