Halle Takes a Stand

Halle Takes a Stand is a beautifully illustrated story that helps young children find courage in Jesus when they feel pressured to fit in and stay silent in the face of bullying. When Halle Hedgehog's group of friends begins excluding and mistreating another girl, Halle knows something is wrong but is afraid to speak up. With gentle guidance from her teacher, she learns that what matters most is belonging to Jesus, and that his presence gives her the courage to stand against bullying and respond with kindness and faith. Part of the Good News for Little Hearts series, this gospel-centered book helps children navigate the fear of rejection and the pressure to follow the crowd. Edited by Paul David Tripp and rooted in CCEF's model of hope and help, it also includes a parent resource section that equips families to have meaningful conversations about fitting in, fear, and trusting Jesus in everyday situations. Halle Takes a Stand, along with all of the Good News for Little Hearts books, will become a lifelong gift for parents and children, as well as teachers, biblical counselors, and anyone hoping to provide concrete, grace-based help for young children. Halle Takes a Stand is illustrated by Joe Hox and edited by Paul David Tripp.
