This was so damn sweet!! I think Felipe is the realest character I've ever read. I relate to him so much: 90% of the time, I'm a ball of anxiety and I feel socially awkward (small talk is my worst nightmare). Inspired by this book, I'll make a list. 15 Things I Liked About This Book: 1. Felipe & Caio 2. Felipe's mother 3. "Want to play mermaids? 4. Their first kiss 5 .The first time Caio told Felipe that he was beautiful 6. The five-minute game 7. The fortune cookies 8. Musical Wednesday 9. When Felipe stood up to his bullies 10. The lists (!!!) 11. Thereza, Felipe's grandmother. The fact that she wrote dedications in the books she gifted him broke my heart. And all the flashbacks!! She was a good person, no doubt 12. Becky & Melissa 13. Felipe making a list of cat names for the future cat he and Caio are adopting 14. All the pop culture references 15. The pool
Here the Whole Time: a wholesome, body-positive gay romance for Heartstopper fans – now on Netflix! 🎬
*** A gorgeous queer love story for anyone who's ever got into a pool with their shirt on. Don't miss the film adaptation, now on Netflix 🎬 *** 'I loved it so much, I read it all in one day. It's so adorable.' - Alice Oseman, author of Heartstopper 'I love this book!' - Rainbow Rowell, author of Carry On '... a tender, funny, absolutely heart-holding novel about a boy who is forced to share his room with his lifelong crush for fifteen days. It's a gay romance that would have changed my world if I'd read it as a teen.' - David Levithan, author of Every Day *** Felipe just wanted a quiet summer binge-watching musicals and finishing his TBR pile - the perfect break from the classmates who tease him incessantly. So, he's horrified to discover that Caio, his lifelong crush, will be staying with them for fifteen days . . . Suddenly, the days ahead of him that once promised rest and relaxation end up bringing a whirlwind of feelings, forcing Felipe to dive head-first into every unresolved issue he has had with himself - but maybe, just maybe, he'll manage to win over Caio, too. This body-positive queer love story is about the assumptions we make about each other, and the bravery you need to be yourself. *** 'It's a sweet, funny, warm-hearted gem of a story - exactly the sort of thing the world needs right now!' - Simon James Green, author of Noah Can't Even
