His Coming

Does prophecy really matter? Christians may differ in their understanding of future events, so why spend time studying prophecy? When souls are perishing, is it really worth focusing on something that is not a salvation issue? Yet Bible prophecy matters. Although not a test of orthodoxy, a proper understanding of prophecy can strengthen faith, increase confidence in God's Word, and provide hope in an increasingly uncertain world. This accessible introduction explores the Bible's teaching on future events and equips readers with sound principles for interpreting prophecy. It considers the differences between Dispensational and Covenant Theology and how these approaches shape our understanding of prophetic Scripture. It also outlines the Bible's teaching about the future and traces how prophecy has been understood throughout church history. Along the way, it addresses four important questions: Is there a future for Israel? What will the tribulation be like? Where will the Church be in the tribulation? What is the millennial reign of Christ? Written by a team of experienced Bible teachers from across Great Britain and Ireland, this book offers a clear, balanced, and biblical overview of prophecy for both new and experienced students of Scripture. Designed to inform, encourage, and challenge, it will help readers gain a deeper appreciation of God's purposes, His faithfulness to His promises, and His sovereign control of history.
