The Hours She Lost

Forensic psychologist Mara Voss wakes up in the therapy room where she treats trauma patients with someone else's blood drying under her fingernails, no memory of the last four hours, and the one patient she was with, Noah Kline, missing. The room's camera was off. The restraints were torn loose. And Mara's own notes insist Noah was discharged from the clinic's trauma program years ago, even though she has a message from him timestamped an hour before the blackout: I remember what they did. As Mara pieces together the missing time, she uncovers a second patient roster the clinic was never supposed to keep, a colleague who insists sessions happened that Mara has no memory of attending, and a version of her own professional history that doesn't match her own. Every fact she trusted about her work, her patients, and herself starts to buckle. Mara built her career on the idea that memory can be reconstructed carefully, rule by rule. Now the only way to survive what happened in Room Seven is to break every one of those rules and find out who has been erasing her. A twisty psychological thriller about gaslighting, institutional secrets, and a woman forced to investigate the four hours of her life someone doesn't want her to remember.
